You are very excited about your brand - new Android OS phone and you
 are showing it off to your friends . In fact, you have started using it
 without doing anything. No , you are putting your phone at risk . There
 are certain changes you need to make to ensure it performs optimally .
In line with this, here are seven things to do to keep it safe and
secured.
<ul>
</ul>

Download apps
You can use the Google
Play Store to download or you take your phone to a store where you can
download all the apps . In this case , you do not need to exhaust your
data on downloading . However, ensure that you download only relevant
apps and from a secured website.
Secure your device
Your
 phone can be hacked or be infected by viruses . So, you need to get a
very strong antivirus to secure your device. You can also activate
pattern lock and PIN . You must do this because you will not be using
your phone for texting and calling alone .
Install and activate device manager
The
 device manager will come in handy when your phone is stolen . The
manager gives you unlimited access to everything on your phone online .
This will help you wipe or lock a lost device .
Customise your device
The
 functions of your phone are in default mode ; hence, you have to
customise it . You should change the ringtone , message, and
notification tones. In addition , you can kill the keypad tone and
replace the wallpapers This is one of the ways to personalise your phone
 .
Search for software/ apps updates
Your phone
usually comes loaded with all of the latest software but with frequent
updates from the developers , your apps and software may not be current.
 Therefore, it won’ t be a bad idea if you search for latest updates .
Get a case / screen guard
The case and screen guard are to protect the body of your phone and screen . It will help maintain the new look of your device.
Fully charge your battery
Your
 new phone is usually charged up to 50 per cent . But before you start
using it , you should boost it to 100 per cent . Also , note that you
should prevent it from fully discharging the battery ( letting it drop
to zero per cent , thus forcing it to shut down ) . This is the main
cause of short battery life

'Wake up call' over falling sperm counts in western men

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Sperm count measures the number of sperm present in every millilitre of semen</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Sperm counts among western men are so low that there
is a potential threat to fertility in some countries, according to a
major study.
Scientists found that between 1973 and 2011 there was
 a 59.3% fall in the average amount of sperm produced by men in Europe,
North America, Australia and New Zealand.
The study is an "urgent
wake-up call" for health authorities to investigate the causes and
prevent it from getting worse, said Dr Hagai Levine from the Hebrew
University of Jerusalem, who worked on the research.
The findings, published in the journal Human Reproduction Update, have been described by some fertility experts as "shocking".
There has been a warning of a "double whammy" caused by more women waiting until their 30s to have children.
But
 despite the decline, average sperm counts remained in the "normal"
range, said Allan Pacey, professor of andrology at the University of
Sheffield.
Sperm count measures the number of sperm present in every millilitre of semen.
A normal range is between 15 million to more than 200 million - a sperm count of less than 15 million is considered to be low.
Having
 a low sperm count can make it difficult to conceive a baby naturally,
as well as other problems such as poor sperm quality.
Factors such as smoking, drinking, environmental factors and stress can all affect fertility.

As
 we’re all used to, multitasking is a big part of our lives. And to be
honest, it’s necessary because we don’t want to feel left behind. We
want to be as efficient as we can and we don’t want to miss anything out
 in this little time that we have.

But what we are not
able to see anymore is that we’re actually missing out a lot. As time
flies, we become more and more connected to technology, fast online
chats, emojis,

 LOL, FYI, NSFW, FOMO, etc. and we disconnect from ourselves. We even
forget to listen to music, we only hear it as a soundtrack of what we’re
 doing.

Do you remember how cool it is to close your eyes and listen to the music?

This
 experiment will show you that, MAYBE, it’s time for all of us to press
pause from time to time and, for starters, really listen to that music
we used to love and get lost in it. Just for a little.

And our brain will have no creative limits.

every other internet -ready gadget.
However, security agents are
 warning that there are reasons to be concerned when your teenager or
underage child gets hooked to the internet all the time.
They
also warn that you should be concerned if you stumble on your child’s

unable to decode, however hard you try.
Police warn that some of

We provide the

many of us cannot do without it . What you don't know is that your
addiction to social media is affecting your lives negatively. Read on to
 know how social media can ruin your life.
According to Jumia
Travel, phone users should perhaps cut down on the hours they spend on
social media like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
 </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Over thinking emoticons
Some people while interacting or chatting with someone else share an emoticon; they begin to give all
sorts of meanings and interpretations to it. It is funny that just
because of an emoticon, they get themselves all worked up and worried.
Why? It is just an emoticon.

Checking/updating every second
You
 have become so attached to Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat that you
are checking and updating them every second. The day you don’t access
your accounts because you don't have data, you become hysterical and
irrational. It is not a matter of life and death.

Bragging about likes, followers and comments
The
 number of likes , followers and comments you have has become a thing to
 brag about and show off . The rule is that the more followers you have,
 the more traction and engagement you get . True , you do not have to
boast about it . Some people go as far as buying likes, followers and
even comments.
 </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Posting without thinking
Many of us have converted social media to an abuse platform.
 A place where we criticise and troll people. As a result , more and
more people are in trouble because of what they share and say on social
media . Presently, a popular United States - based Nigerian journalist ,
 Kemi Olunloyo, is being prosecutedfor the content she shared on social
media. Always, think before you share. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
"Making up" just because you want to share picture on Instagram
This
 is peculiar to girls. They do not have anywhere to go but they dress up
 , apply make - up and take beautiful pictures just to post on Instagram
 or Facebook. It is ridiculous.
 </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Staying up late
We
 all do this. We spend hours flying from one social media platform to
another . Meanwhile , we are very sleepy but we still continue browsing .
 Surprisingly, they sleep off while on Twitter or WhatsApp . Hence ,
many of us don’t get enough sleep because of social media.
 </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Seeking social media validation
Seeking
 social media validation can lead to depression. This is because you
wait for others to give you approval for your life activities. If you
don't get the desired response , you become depressed . You should stop
seeking social media validation and live your life. </div>

An expert has investigated the data two internet companies possesses and warns others on extent of privacy intrusion.Google and facebook know almost everything a smartphone owner does online or offline and stores the information even if the owner deletes the data on the device, a technical consultant and web developer has written on his twitter account. *Google stores your location (if you  have it turned on) every time you turn your phone, and you can see a timeline from the first day you started using google on your phone. *Google stores search history across all your devices on a separate database, so even if you delete your search history, Google still stores everything until you go in and delete everything , and you have to do this on all devices. *Google creates an advertisement profile based on your information, including your location, age, hobbies, career, interests, relationship status, possible weight (need to lose 10lbs in one day?) and income. *Google stores information on every app extension you use, how often you use them, and who you use them to interact with. *Google stores all your YouTube history, so they know whether you are going to be a parent soon, if you are conservative, if you are  Jewish, Christian, Muslim, if you are feeling depressed or suicidal, if you are anorexic. *Google offers an option to download all of the data it stores about you, I've requested to download it and the file is 5.5GB big which is roughly three million word documents. <a href="http://google.com/takeout">"google.com/takeout</a>"

*Facebook also offers similar option to download all your information. *Facebook also store every time you log in, where you logged and from what device. *Somewhat pointlessly, they also store all the sticker you've ever sent on facebook. *"Google also stores every image you've ever searched for (smiles, imagine what it stores for you), since the beginning of your google searching adventure. *Lastly, "every YouTube video you've ever searched for or viewed since 2008"
